When can I give GRE?
You can write GRE on any working day of the year
(Saturdays and Sundays are holidays).
How to Apply ?
Obtain the "GRE Information Bulletin" available free
with Sylvan Testing Services and USEFI. You can also request
the bulletin from
http://ipem.org/ets.htm and it will be delivered to
your given address free of cost. The Test Scheduling Form
comes with the bulletin. The Test Scheduling Form comes with
the bulletin. There are three ways to register:

Documents Required:
Vicky Asks: Do we need address proof for registering GRE ?
>> There is no requirement of any documents. But you need
credit card number and details for making the payment.
>> There is no requirement of passport. But your name should
be according to your
passport or Verification Documents

I m thinking of giving GRE in end of January and I haven't
registered yet, because I will get my passport in 1st week of
Jan, So can I register and take a date before getting passport
in my hand, Is that possible,
>> Yes. That is possible. You can book your date without
passport.

If I register with my name, Is it a requirement that the
name on my passport and the name by which I register should be
the same, Do they ask for passport number while registering.
>> Your name should be exactly same as passport, if your are
citizen of India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. There is no
requirements of passport while registering for GRE date.
Registering by Phone:
* Make sure to call at least TWO BUSINESS DAYS
before the test date.
* Use American Express, Discover, JCB, MasterCard, VISA, or a
voucher number.
* A confirmation number, reporting time, and the test
center address will be given to you when you call.

Vineela Asks: Is this 0124-4147700 an ISD number or GRE
Toll Free number ?
Answer: This is a normal number. If you calling from Delhi and
NCR then it is a local number. If you are calling from other
parts of India then it is an STD number.
Registering by Fax: If registering by fax, you
must send your fax at lest SEVEN DAYS prior to your first
choice of a test day.
>> If you do not receive a confirmation of your
appointment, call the RRC at least 3 business days before your
first-choice test date. If you missed your appointment and did
not call the RRC, your test fee will not be refunded. If you
provide an e-mail address, you may receive a confirmation by
e-mail.
Registering by Mail/Courier: Fill in the form,
get the draft made (if you are not paying by credit card), and
submit these to the Sylvan Learning Centre at Gurgaon either
by hand or by registered post/courier. You must send the
documents at least THREE WEEKS before your choice of a test
day.
On receipt of your documents, an appointment will be
scheduled for you to test at the Sylvan Technology Center.
Confirmation of the date, time and location of the appointment
will be sent to you. If you do not receive confirmation at
least THREE business days before your first choice of test
day, please call the Sylvan office to verify your appointment.
>> If you do not receive a confirmation, call the
appropriate RRC at least 3 business days before your
first-choice test date. If you miss your appointment and did
not call the RRC, your test fee will not be refunded. If you
provide an e-mail address, you may receive a confirmation by
e-mail.

FAQ's

asks: Is it necessary that the applicant should have
no current arrears while applying for GRE ?
Answer: Arrears or backlog does not effect your
GRE date. You can give the GRE test with your backlogs.
Manasa asks: I have
a doubt. People say that according to centres, the
difficulty level varies and Calcutta centre is good. For
me, Hyderabad centre is near. Is it necessary that I
need to go to Calcutta?
Answer: It is nothing more than just rumor. The
ETS always try to be consistence across the globe.
