Sugata Asks: I am planning to apply for fall 2008
(Aerospace Engg-MS/PhD). I'd like to know what are the job
prospects in US for Indian students after completion of their MS
or PhD in aerospace engineering? I've heard that because of the
citizenship issue it's not possible to get jobs in leading
aerospace companies.
Would you please throw some light on this? My entire decision to
apply for aerospace is heavily dependent on this issue because I
don't want to go for academia after my degree. I want to work for
the industry. My bachelors is in electronics engineering. I'd be
very much grateful to you if you kindly help.
Answer: Thanks a lot for sharing your concern. As for as
job prospects in US is concern. No doubt it is competitive. But if
you have talent, I am sure that would be not a problem. If you looking for
immigration and cheap study options then France and Germany could
be a preferable option.
